The short version
SelfHostedERP sells software you run on your own servers. When you use our product, your business data stays on your infrastructure and never flows to us. This policy covers only our marketing website (selfhostederp.com): the contact form, basic visit analytics, and the anonymous blog comments and reactions.
Information we collect
Contact form. When you submit an inquiry, we collect the name, email, company, and message you provide, so we can reply and follow up about your setup.
Visit analytics. We record basic pageview data (the page path, referring URL, browser user-agent, and a random visitor identifier stored in a cookie) to understand which content is useful. We also use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for aggregate traffic measurement.
Blog comments and reactions. You can comment and react on blog posts without an account. We store the comment text, an optional display name you choose, and a random visitor identifier (so each reaction toggles once). Please do not include personal or sensitive information in a public comment.
Anti-abuse. The contact form and comment form use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Turnstile may process limited technical signals (such as your IP address) to tell humans from automated traffic.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: a first-party visitor identifier (erp_visitor) for analytics and reaction de-duplication, cookies set by Google Analytics and Tag Manager, and any cookie Cloudflare Turnstile needs to run its challenge. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site still works, though reactions and analytics may not persist.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- To measure and improve the website and its content.
- To display and moderate public blog comments and reactions.
- To protect the site from spam, abuse, and fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Service providers
We rely on a few processors to run the site: our hosting provider, Turso (managed libSQL) for storing form submissions and blog engagement, Cloudflare (Turnstile), and Google (Analytics and Tag Manager). Each processes data only to provide their service.
Data retention
We keep contact submissions for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our records. Analytics and blog engagement are retained while they remain useful. You can ask us to delete information associated with you at any time.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, or to have a comment removed, reach us through the contact form. We honor valid requests as required by law.
Children
The website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we will revise the date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
